STRIX
A smart device to facilitate the cooking of meat by color blind users.
Color blindness is a visual deficiency in the way you see color.
About 8% of the world population suffers from it and there are three main types of this disease. Nutrition for people affected by color blindness is involved in various problems identified through questionnaires and surveys, both when buying fresh products and cooking ingredients.

Strix helps in the cooking process of meat by analysing the colours and temperature of the food. The basis of the research is to identify in the market of cooking support devices, one or more instrument that can converge in a single design solution. Through a thermal imager, a temperature sensor placed on the tip and a custom designed application, Strix acts as an aid to the normal daily routine of a color blind person.

The project can then be further developed to be produced through a crowdfunding and serialisation process, and be sold to the public affected by dyschromatopsia afterwards.
