A smart device for learning guitar through gamification and behaviour change.
Learning to play an instrument, in particular the guitar, is an activity that requires time and dedication. Most of the users without passion or talent who want to start gaining experience with the guitar, quit because they don’t have a result in a short time or they start devoting time to other activities. In addition, many tasks that require daily and repetitive action to form a habit or a daily path can be boring.

The solutions made available online for learning this instrument are many and do not adapt to the user’s abilities, especially for those who approach the world of music not to become an expert, but only an amateur.

How can we reduce the abandonment of learning the guitar and create a support process for aspiring musicians?

The purpose of this study is to integrate the gamification and behaviour change process to make the practice of this instrument more fun, as well as to help the professionals who teach to expand their educational method. Through design thinking, the project outlines the characteristics of an interactive system consisting of an application and a device that can be applied to a guitar creating an innovative method to train and entertain a beginner guitarist.
